Is the course really free?
- Yes — the course is completely free. There are no registration fees or hidden charges.
Are you affiliated with IBM?
- No — Odurinde.com is not affiliated with IBM. Our training is independently designed but aligned with IBM’s recommended learning pathways to help learners develop globally relevant, job-ready web development skills. You’ll receive an Odurinde.com Certificate upon completion, and if you wish, you may pursue an IBM certification separately through their official channels.
What is the duration of the course?
- The course runs for 3 months, from November 3rd, 2025 to February 2026.
How often are the classes held?

What will I learn in this course?
You’ll learn everything you need to start your journey as a web developer, including:
- How the internet works (HTTP & HTTPS)
- Frontend, Backend, and Fullstack concepts
- HTML – building webpage structure
- CSS – styling and layout
- JavaScript – interactivity and logic
Who can join this course?
- Anyone interested in learning how websites are built — beginners, students, career changers, or the tech-curious. No prior coding experience is required.
What do I need to get started?
- A laptop or desktop computer
- A stable internet connection
- Willingness to learn and practice consistently
How will the classes be delivered?
- Classes are conducted live online via a virtual meeting platform. You’ll also receive supporting materials and resources after each class.
Will I get a certificate after completing the course?
- Yes! You’ll receive a Certificate of Completion from Odurinde.com if you meet the performance requirements. You may also choose to take the IBM Introduction to Web Development certification through an independent, IBM-approved centre. (Odurinde.com is not an IBM certification provider.)
What are the requirements to get certified?
-
To qualify for certification, you must achieve at least 70% overall performance, which includes:
- Class attendance
- Participation
- Final project submission and quality
What happens if I score below 70%?
- Students who do not meet the 70% threshold will not be certified but can still complete the course and continue learning on their own.
How can this certificate help my career?
-
The Odurinde.com Certificate provides a solid foundation for junior developer roles. You can use it to:
- Apply for entry-level or internship positions
- Build your online portfolio
- Start your freelance or web design journey
Can I continue learning after this course?
- Absolutely! This course prepares you for advanced learning. Our curriculum aligns with IBM’s Introduction to Web Development course, so you’ll already understand many key concepts. You can then take the IBM certification if you wish, but our certificate alone is enough to get you started in tech.
Will classes be recorded?
- Yes. All sessions will be recorded so you can rewatch any missed class at your convenience.
Will there be projects or assignments?
- Yes. You’ll work on small projects throughout the course and a final project at the end, which counts towards your certification score.
How do I register for the course?
- You can register directly through this link: https://www.odurinde.com/introduction-to-web-development/
What kind of support will I get during the course?
- You’ll have access to your instructor, a supportive student community, and extra resources to help you improve your skills.
Can I take this course if I’m working or a student?
- Yes! Classes are held in the evening (7–8 PM WAT) to accommodate working professionals and students.
Will there be job placement after the course?
- While job placement isn’t guaranteed, we provide career guidance, portfolio reviews, internship leads, and skill-building support to help you secure your first tech role.
Will I still have access to the course materials after completing the course?
- Yes! You’ll retain access to all learning materials even after completing the course. You can revisit lessons and examples anytime to refresh your knowledge.
Can I attempt the final project again if I don't meet the 70% threshold?
- The 70% threshold is based on a combination of your attendance and project performance, so attending classes regularly is essential. There won’t be an opportunity to redo the final project, so consistent participation throughout the course is key to achieving certification.
