Web Development Graduation Ceremony – The Celebration Begins

Celebrating the First Cohort of Web Development Graduates

On February 28, 2026, Odurinde eLearning proudly hosted the graduation ceremony for our first-ever Web Development Cohort. It was a day filled with excitement, inspiration, and well-deserved recognition for students who dedicated months of hard work, learning, and hands-on projects to reach this milestone.

From the moment students arrived at the venue, the energy was palpable. Smiles, excitement, and anticipation filled the room as everyone gathered to celebrate this important achievement. This wasn’t just a graduation; it was a testament to perseverance, learning, and growth in the digital world.

Distinguished Guests and Leadership

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Mr Temitope Odurinde, Chief Executive and Founder of Odurinde eLearning. He welcomed everyone and shared heartfelt remarks about the vision of Odurinde eLearning and how the program is designed to equip students with real-world digital skills.

Joining him was Dr Rahmatallahi Oluwakemi Adebisi, BEd, MEd, PhD, Co-Founder of Odurinde eLearning, who spoke passionately about the importance of education, innovation, and practical skills in today’s digital economy. Her words reminded the graduates that learning doesn’t stop here, it’s a continuous journey of growth and opportunity.

Adding to the excitement, the Web Development Tutor and Director at Odurinde eLearning, Mr Emmanuel Nmaju, addressed the students with pride. He highlighted their hard work, resilience, and dedication throughout the program. Emmanuel encouraged the graduates to continue applying their skills, remain adaptable, and embrace opportunities in the ever-expanding digital landscape.

Celebrating Student Achievements

The ceremony included:

  • Certificate Presentations: Each student was called to receive their certificate, symbolizing competence, creativity, and readiness for professional opportunities.
  • Keynote Speeches & Inspirational Talks: Students heard from experienced instructors and guest speakers about the digital economy, career pathways, freelancing opportunities, and launching digital ventures. The messages inspired graduates to see the full potential of their newly acquired skills.
  • Photo Sessions: Moments were captured to commemorate the day, creating lasting memories for both students and faculty.

The graduates’ portfolios and projects were a visible testament to their dedication, showcasing not only their coding ability but also their creativity, analytical thinking, and professionalism.

Words of Encouragement and Guidance

During his address, Mr Emmanuel Nmaju emphasized that graduation is a beginning, not an end. He reminded students that there’s no single roadmap to success. Drawing from his own journey, he shared how stepping into freelance projects, taking on unexpected tasks, and wearing multiple hats prepared him for real-world challenges.

Emmanuel encouraged graduates to remain consistent, intentional, and reliable, emphasizing that soft skills such as adaptability, problem-solving, and communication are just as important as technical expertise.

A Day to Remember

The ceremony wasn’t just about awards and certificates. It was a celebration of:

  • Hard work and perseverance
  • Commitment to learning practical digital skills
  • The beginning of new opportunities in web development and the digital economy

Students left the event feeling proud, motivated, and ready to make their mark in tech, whether through employment, freelancing, or entrepreneurship.
