Web Developer / WordPress Developer & Course Creator (Remote)

Job Summary:

A passionate Web Developer / WordPress Developer who is excited about building high-quality websites and creating engaging online learning experiences. This unique role blends hands-on development with mentoring, online course creation, and instructional design.

Key Responsibilities:

• • Develop, maintain, and optimize WordPress websites, themes, and plugins

  • Build responsive, user-friendly websites with clean, maintainable code

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and implement efficient solutions

  • Create structured course content and online learning modules for Web Development and WordPress

  • Design tutorials, exercises, and assessments for virtual learners

  • Document processes and best practices for learners and internal teams

  • Stay updated on modern web development, WordPress trends, and UX/UI best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Web Developer or WordPress Developer.

• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including modern frameworks/libraries such as React), PHP, MySQL, and experience with RESTful APIs, Node.js.

• Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development/customization.

• Understanding of responsive design, UX/UI principles, and website performance optimization.

• Ability to create clear, structured, and engaging course content for online learners.

• Experience with LMS platforms (e.g., MasterStudy LMS plugins) is a plus.

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and instructional skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of WooCommerce, Divi, Elementor, or other WordPress page builders.

• Experience in SEO and website analytics.

• Prior experience creating online courses, tutorials, or educational content.

• Strong organizational skills for managing both development projects and course creation.

Soft Skills:

• Ability to explain complex concepts in simple, clear terms.

• Self-motivated and proactive in both development and teaching.

• Team-oriented, collaborative, and flexible.

• Patient, structured, and attentive to detail when creating learning content.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (preferred).

• Minimum of 2–3 years professional experience in web development, and WordPress.

• Experience creating courses or training content in web development/WordPress is a strong plus.
