Keymaster1. Understanding the Forum Structure
Before posting, it is important to understand the difference between a Forum, a Topic, and a Reply.
🧩 Forum
A Forum is a category or section where discussions are grouped together.
Examples include:
- Beginners Corner
- Career & Freelancing
- Web Development
- SEO & Digital Marketing
👉 Users cannot create forums.
Forums are only created and managed by:- Admins
- Moderators
- Keymasters
💬 Topic
A Topic is a discussion created inside a forum.
For example, inside “Web Development”, a user may create a topic like:
- “How do I start learning React?”
- “Best hosting for beginners?”
👉 Users can create topics inside forums, but not forums themselves.
💬 Replies
Replies are comments inside a topic.
- Users can respond to topics
- Replies keep the conversation going
- Only logged-in users can reply
2. Who Can Do What?All users have different levels of access depending on their role.
👀 Viewing Content
Anyone can view forum content:
- Guests (not logged in) can browse all forums and topics
- Logged-in users can also view everything
- Admins, moderators, and keymasters have full visibility
📝 Creating Content
Only logged-in users can participate in discussions:
- Logged-in users can create topics inside forums
- Logged-in users can reply to existing topics
- Guests cannot create topics or replies
- Users cannot create forums
👉 Forums can only be created by:
- Admins
- Moderators
- Keymasters
✏️ Editing Content
- Users can edit their own posts as many times as they want after posting
- Editing is available for both topics and replies
- Admins, moderators, and keymasters can edit any content at any time, including posts made by other users
3. How to Log In / RegisterIf you are not logged in and visit:
👉 https://www.odurinde.com/forum/Step 1: Forum Page Hero Section
At the top of the forum page (hero section), you will see a button:
👉 “Register / Sign In to Join the Discussion”
Step 2: Click the Button
Clicking this button takes you to the login/registration page where you can:
- Register as a new user
- Or sign in as an existing user
Step 3: Return to Forum
After logging in:
- Click Forum in the top navigation menu
- You will be taken back to the forum page
Step 4: Start Participating
Once logged in, the hero button changes to:
👉 “Join the Discussion”
Clicking this button scrolls you down to the forum section where you can:
- Choose any forum category
- Open a topic
- Start engaging by replying to discussions
4. How Posting WorksPosting on the forum is simple once you are logged in:
- Go into any forum category
- Open a topic that interests you
- Click “Reply” to respond, or “Create Topic” to start a new discussion inside that forum
- Write your message and submit
👉 Remember:
- You cannot create forums
- You can only create topics inside existing forums
- You can reply to topics once logged in
